Well hello April and all your sunshine, light and possibilities. It's promising to be the most fantastic month filled with delicious flavours and another great La Petite Bouchée event towards the end of the month.

We'll be launching our way into the month with another event waving goodbye to another hugely successful Exmoor Food Festival on April 9th at The Rising Sun in West Bagborough alongside some of the West Country's finest: Liam Finnegan, The Castle, Taunton, Olivier Certain, The Swan, Bampton & Ellis Pannell, Pyne Arms. I know some of you are coming along and so look forward to seeing you there. We'll be presenting the fish course !


APRIL 2019

We launch our shinny new menu this Friday ( 5th) & Saturday ( 6th) with the special VN rate of £20 for 3 courses to our village ( Witheridge) and villages within a 10 mile radius. Anyone outside of this is very welcome, normal restaurant prices will apply.


New season asparagus is on the menu this month and we'll be serving it with a silky Sauce Choron (a homemade béarnaise with tomato) We'll also be serving up some fresh locally caught seasonal fish each month so you can look forward to the likes of pollock, lemon sole and hake. Mussels are still good although getting smaller as we move into spawning season. Regular stalwart Steak Frites is on the menu, just tell us how you'd like it served. We also have a juicy Ballotine of Chicken stuffed with a taste of Provence and our vegetarian course this month is the incredibly popular Vegetable Wellington, served with a roasted tomato sauce. Finish off with Cherry Clafoutis or refreshing Tart aux Citron.

EASTER ( We're open Good Friday and Easter Saturday with limited availability left )

In addition to our April Menu we'll be serving up our Easter Lamb dish on 19th and 20th Le Gigot qui Pleure which is roasted Easter lamb cooked over Boulangerie Potatoes. It's a delicious flavour packed sharing dish if you're coming with your family and friends.

Take a step back in time to those heady days of the Galloping Gourmet and dear old Fanny and Johnny (hic) and come and enjoy some classic 70's retro dinner party classics. Dig out your kaftan, channel your inner Abigail. Don't panic we won't play any Demis Roussos !

Our May menu is now up on the website and can be found HERE I'll be recreating our two starter dishes from our Exmoor Food Festival Events for your delectation and we'll have confit duck and a trio of stuffed squash headlining.
