Well.. here in between the two moors, we wait fervently for June, widely acclaimed to be the gateway to summer, although typically it has been raining today !
The final seeds are sown, the young plants are planted and we await our harvest later, although having said that, much of the salad, leaves and flowers are grown just under two 2 miles away by our fabulous front of house team Linzi and Nigel.
The courtyard herb garden is finished and we're already yielding the majority of the herbs used in our dishes from right outside our back door and the new cold smoker has arrived so look out for home smoked bacon, salmon, trout and more.
June will also see the renovations begin on the outside of La Petite Bouchée and we'll be very excited to see her finally looking back to her old self. Watch this space for updates...
June is already proving very poplar with our guests with two dates completely booked out for private parties and the rest of the dates on 50% or more.

BASTILLE DAY DEGUSTATION MENU
It's time to hang out the flags, sharpen up those knitting skills, don the bicorne and eat as much cake as you can muster as we celebrate La Fête Nationale or Bastille Day in old money.
A night of celebration and great feasting. We had a fabulous Bastille night party last year, the sun shone on us and there was much merriment and we loved doing the last degustation menu so much we've decided do another one, filled with seasonal flavours all cooked in our scratch kitchen.
By the way, there's no truth in the rumour that we're erecting a guillotine in the square, mere rumour ... We will be doing all the other things in spades. Here are the menus, one for meat eaters and one for vegetarians and vegans.
The wine flight was so popular, we'll be doing that again too, everyone who enjoyed a wine flight at our 1st birthday celebrations said it definitely enhanced the flavours of each of the dishes. Wine flights can be added to your degustation experience for just £25.00
