BOOKING & CANCELLATION POLICY UPDATE

It's a great shame we've had to do this. I feel very heavy-hearted because in the main it's not actually people locally, or in wider Devon it's mainly people visiting who don't really care about a small business like ours - Cancelling at the last minute or just not turning up.

You need to know, it does hurt our business and it causes unnecessary waste, something which we strive not to do with our zero waste policy.

Let me give you an example. Bastille Night, when we first posted it filled up within minutes. There were a couple of cancellations then all of a sudden we had lost 50% of bookings. Don't get me wrong, we still had a fabulous evening and everyone enjoyed themselves but restaurant was still two tables of down from late cancellations.

The same had happened the week before when England were playing Sweden. The excuses priceless. I'd have had more respect for them if they'd just said. "It's coming home, I've got to watch"

So, unless you are a regular customer at La Petite Bouchée from now on you'll be asked to pay a 50% deposit to secure your table. We will also be asking for a current credit or debit card number. If you fail to cancel your booking 72 hours before your booking then you will not be refunded. If you fail to show then we will charge your credit or debit card with the full menu price for every person in your party. This will cover the costs of food, services and staffing.

In all other respects our terms and conditions remain the same.
