Hello August !

We're now unbelievably nearly 8 months into this year already. August is upon us a the end of this week which means its village weekend too. To let new subscribers know, Village nights are for people living within a reasonable radius of the restaurant here in Witheridge to enjoy the new menu at the beginning of the month at a special village price.

We are also launching our new look menu which we've now split into sections. It's easier to follow you can choose from your favourites including Steak Frites, Moules Frites and Chicken Cordon Bleu (crispy chicken stuffed with cheese and ham), from the dishes of the month which in August include Coq au Vin, Vegetable en Crôute and Monkfish cheeks and there are an increased number of vegetarian and vegan plats to choose from.

There are also sharing dishes too cooked with some of the finest Devon meat available from Shapland & Searle in South Molton including whole wood fired chicken, Côte de Boeuf ( £15 Supplement) Rack of Lamb ( £15 Supplement)

The deserts this month are juicy pears poached in red wine and served with a refreshing red wine sorbet and a classic Prune and Armagnac tart served with a sticky sauce and of course in a class of its own our wonderful Cheese board supplied and curated by The Cheese Larder in South Molton

We are also giving people the option of ordering 2 courses as well as our current offering of 3 or 4 courses. Great value at £22.50 per head. Our other options are 3 courses £28.00 per head and 4 courses £32.00 per head

Each week we'll also give you a selection of optional extras such as vegetables, potatoes etc which you can opt for when you order your food.

The next destination on our food journey will be Thailand on a plate on 16 & 17th August. We'll be creating authentic dishes using Devon's finest ingredients. There are still a few covers available but booking early is essential TO BOOK CLICK HERE

One last thing..... If you're looking for a venue for a party or celebration then we have up to 20 covers available inside the restaurant or we are happy to cook offsite at the venue of our choosing.
