This Is Not A Drill …

Dates are now filling up for the Exmoor Food Festival with a few dates nearly to capacity. our French Brasserie Classics menu is always a popular choice and this years menu is no exception.


Here are a selection of our main course available from Jan 28th to Feb 26th ( Valentine‘s menu on 12th Feb)

Tofish and Chips

Marinated silken Tofu encased in GF vegan beer batter and served with frites, mushy peas and vegan Tatare sauce.


Harissa Celeriac Steak

steamed and painted celeriac steak, finished in the pan with house harissa oil and seven on a bed of Moroccan spiced couscous



Moules Frites


Our signature 1kg mussels served with butter and shallots, house fish stock and house wine from SW France finished with lemon and parsley.


Côte de Porc

Panko’d Côte de Porc pan fried then finished in the oven and served with peas, lardon and chicken stock and sautéed potatoes.

Steak Frites

Hand cut Bavette steak pan fired with butter, thyme and confit garlic to your liking ( chef advises medium rare ) then served with Café de Paris butter, crispy frites and salad. .

Tartiflette Pie


All the best bits of a tartiflette encased in a pie oozing with Reblochon, crispy lardon and potato. Served with a house salad and pickles and frites


Lemon Sole from Celtic Fish and Game, pan fried in a light dusting of seasoned flour ( GF available too) then finished with butter (Dairy free available) wine, fresh lemon and crispy capers.
