TERMS & CONDITIONS
PRIVATE CHEF & EVENTS

You probably like reading T&C’s as much as we like writing them but they are here to protect us both so if you could spare a couple of minutes then it would be sincerely appreciated. If you’d like any further clarification on anything you’ve read then do get in touch on 07738703450

BOOKINGS

All bookings are subject to the availability. Our best advice is to book as far in advance as possible if you are considering hiring us.

We may charge and additional fee if your date falls on a bank or public holidays. We will discuss this with you at the time of your booking.

Your booking will only be secured once your deposit is paid and cleared

For your safety, please inform us in advance of the booking if you have any dietary requirements, are pregnant, have diabetes, epilepsy or an allergy to something, or if you think there is something else that the chef should be aware of.

You will be responsible for letting us know about allergies and intolerances at the time of booking. We cannot stress enough how important this is. If there is a nut allergy it is now company policy not to serve nuts in any form at the event. For Coeliac and Lactose intolerant guests please rest assured that your meals will be prepared separately to avoid cross contamination

COSTS

Costs quoted at the time of your initial enquiry may  differ in the period before any booking is actually made. We will keep you advised of any changes in price before bookings are made Costs are presented on a per head basis. The costs include ingredients, prep time, fixed costs, time at venue and 1 FOH. We make every attempt to keep this cost in line with market forces, however, continually changing fixed costs and some ingredients mean they may change from time to time.

PAYMENT

We will require a 25% deposit at the time of booking to secure the date you have requested

The remaining balance must be paid no later than 10 days before your event.

This is usually done via direct bank transfer/ online banking; all details required for this are shown at the bottom of your confirmation.

CHANGING NUMBER OF GUESTS

On booking, we will ask how many people will be attending the dinner party.

If you would like to reduce the number of guests attending your event, please notify us at least 3 days in advance. We regret that we are unable to offer any refund any later than this.

If you would like to increase the number of guests attending your event, as long as you notify us more than 7 days in advance of your event, we will arrange for enough ingredients to cover this. There will be an additional charge per person (per head cost of the menu ) and which must be paid in full at least 5 days in advance of the event.

CANCELLATIONS/ CHANGE OF DATE/LOCATION

Once you have booked a date with us, if you need to re-schedule or cancel, we will always do our best to help. If you confirm your cancellation at least 28 days before the date booked, you will receive a full refund, minus a 10% of the invoiced amount for our administration charge.

If you request a change of date or location at least 14 days before the date you originally booked, we will endeavour to meet your new requirements, subject to the availability of the chef and location. This may affect your mileage charges.

We regret that we cannot offer any refund if you cancel less than 14 days in advance of the booked appointment. In some instances, we may be able to change the date (as long as the date, time, menu and number of people remain the same), subject to the availability of the chef, but this is not guaranteed. You may wish to consider taking out suitable insurance to cover cancellations beyond your control.

Very rarely there may be a delay in the arrival of your chef, or we may need to cancel your booking for reasons beyond our control, such as adverse weather conditions, sudden illness, unavailability or breakdown of transport or equipment.

We will do our best to notify you as soon as possible and arrange an  alternative chef, however, in the event that we must cancel, we will offer an alternative date. Should this not be possible, you will receive a full refund. We regret that, in these circumstances, we are unable to reimburse travel, accommodation or any other expense that you or your guests may incur in relation to the cancelled booking.
