SPRING IS IN THE AIR

There are hints of spring everywhere in spite of the rather chilly day. The first seeds are in Nigel and Linzi's new green house and we're crossing everything for an abundant crop this year.

LATEST NEWS

We've just taken part in this year's Exmoor Food Festival. It's always great to showcase the great ingredients we have here on our doorstep and meet lots of new customers taking part and visiting all of the other restaurants taking part.

We were honoured to take part in the Celebration of Exmoor Beef over at The Farmers Arms in Coombe Florey last week as part of the festival and even more delighted that our course was voted second by diners attending. Thanks goes to Head Chef Mike Griffiths and his team for their wonderful hospitality on the night.

Here's what Martin Hesp at The Western Daily Press thought in his piece on the event on Saturday.

“The dry aged fillet Carpaccio prepared by Anita-Clare Field was a triumph that would have found a place in the very best Italian restaurants anywhere in the world”
