Witheridge's very own Hidden Restaurant, La Petite Bouchée has scooped a much coveted gold award from the Taste of The West, for the second year running.
"Being awarded gold just three months after opening last year was just stunning, we were literally stunned... but retaining it means the world and if I am honest, a huge relief" said Anita-Clare Field, Chef and Co Owner of multi-award winning La Petite Bouchée.
To get a Taste of The West Award there is very thorough judging process to go through. Judges book into the restaurant, arrive anonymously and entrants are not aware of them being there until they present their voucher at the end of the meal. Detailed feedback is then given to each establishment in order for them to improve on their offering further.
This new award goes will proudly go alongside last years Taste of the West Gold, Food and Drink Devon Runner up Award for Best Bistro in Devon, Devon Life Finalist Award for Best Newcomer and The Time Out Love London Award which they won months before moving to the Devon.
Co Owner, A-CF went onto say " Caroline and I like to pay tribute to our amazing front of house team Linzi and Nigel Walker without whom we'd not have achieved such amazing things. Their wealth and breath of experience makes such an enormous difference to La Petite Bouchée and makes us a very formidable team. It also gives me the opportunity to focus completely on the business and the food, sourcing it, designing menus and of course cooking. leaving Linzi and Nigel to manage the dining room and pass , It just works"
