Ready, Steady, Launch

Wow. We are still recovering from the most brilliant evening on Friday night, when we officially ‘launched’ La Petite Bouchée, in Witheridge, Devon. We invited a host of our local friends and neighbours, as well as some foodies and writers that we’ve met since moving here back in February. From local shop owners and B&B owners, to journalists and neighbours, they all came and together we glugged the beautiful bubbles that we’d chosen especially for the occasion.

Most of all, this provided us with a great opportunity to thank everybody who has been involved in our Devon journey so far. The support that we’ve had since moving to Witheridge has been tremendous, and we really are so grateful to you all for helping us along the way.

On this occasion, we decided not to do the cooking ourselves, but instead we hired local catering company (Mike Welsh Catering) to provide our guests with the most delicious canapés, enabling us to enjoy the evening and speak to as many of our guests as possible.

Although it wasn’t quite the sunny evening that we’d hoped for when we bought our new outside furniture for the roof terrace, the weather stayed dry enabling our guests to have their photos taken outside La Petite Bouchée herself! Below are the Fish Wives in all there glory read about their night HERE

It was a great opportunity to show off our newly decorated supper club, which is due to open next week. If you haven’t yet booked a table, we still have a few spaces left for May on the 19th, 20th and 27th Simply email us at: hello@lapetiteboucheebrasserie.co.uk if you’d like to come. Here's the menu for May, we change it monthly so keep your eyes peeled HERE

Next stop, the Exeter Festival of South West Food and Drink. We’re going to be there on Saturday, both participating in a panel discussion about foraging, and then cooking our beautiful Red Ruby steak baguettes with lashings of Béarnaise sauce or homemade Pride of Dartmoor Beer Mustard on the Burrow Farm stand (Stand 13, Marquee 6).

Hope to see you there!
